The reason why I’ve decided to name my blog after colibri is because my trading career most closely matches the persistence of this little bird. With its rapid wing flapping rates (between 50-200 times per second) and its wave-like movements, this ancient creature is one of the most resilient animals, being existent for over 30 million years. My trading style has evolved over the past 10 years with the only aim of being profitable enough to preserve capital, while being simple and as flexible as it is necessary to be objective. Using mainly technical analysis and market psychology through reading candlestick formations is the spinal cord of my trading strategy. I tend to look at trading like a game of chess, where one of the players must lose. In a streak of 1001 games, a few sporadic draws and checkmates are welcome, as long as the ultimate result of the grand tournament is the win.
