Thinking about creative trading (daily thoughts)

Creative trading involves change.

Trading in general is changing all the time.

Change is creative by itself if managed properly.

Creative trading involves willingness to challenge; a willingness to take risks and step outside the judgements that summarise past experiences.

I was thinking today (before I decided not to trade for a day), that it could be useful to take the moment and reflect on the creative side of trading.

It made me realise that if we put together known parameters (a trading strategy) in such a way as to achieve an objective, then neither the known parameters, nor the way they are put together need to be new.

A good trader is the experienced trader. I have also come to realise that the average trader does not have the confidence to set out to create new concepts. They usually wait for them to evolve over time and then discover them as truths.

Usually at that moment it is too late, or those set of parameters do not work anymore.

Change something!

Be creative!
